Introducing the NEWEST member of XO Beauty Company…

Rome Rae Dunnigan

She made her arrival on 11-26-23 at 10:04 am- weighing in at 8 pounds 4 oz of pure sweetness. To say her brothers, Dad, and I are obsessed would be an understatement 🥹💕. She is the missing piece to our family my heart always knew I needed. MY daughter, my lil BFF, my mini me.

Her name Rome means “power & strength”, and Rae “ray of light”, we wanted to give her a name that embodies strength & softness. Her name is also a tribute to my Italian heritage and one of the places my Hubby and I went on our honeymoon.

2 years I prayed for her. She is living proof of my faithful God who hears & answers prayers. We feel beyond blessed 🥹 and honored to call her ours.

I can’t wait to see what our mother/daughter journey will be. I definitely foresee a lot of really cute hair & makeup videos in our future. In the meantime we will be soaking her in for the next few months as we adjust to being a fresh family of 5.

XO!
Alexis & Rome

✨Let the countdown begin✨November marks the FINAL wedding month for us this season as we transition to hair & makeup for holiday events.

On a personal note, November also marks the official month that we will welcome our baby girl to our family (she was so sweet to choose to make her debut at the end of wedding season ☺️).

Professionally & personally speaking, this year has been the year of “expanding”. Both have required me to slow down, re-gear, and focus on what is truly important. I can’t do it all, all the time. However In that, I am finding the peace & power that comes from slowing down. I am learning that slowing down is essential if you want to spring forward in a new direction. Whether that be professionally with having a business in two different locations, or personally as a mother of 3. Slowing down is required in order to lay a strong foundation to build on.

This year specifically may not have been our “biggest years” in terms of the amount of weddings we did, however by slowing down and taking less weddings we were able to expand into NorCal, and build the foundation of something even bigger & better than ever before.

As we prepare to embark professionally on the last wedding of our season, and personally on adding the final piece to our family, I am overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude. Gratitude towards God to be entrusted with another soul to love, and a booming business. I am grateful to experience life growing inside of me & within the business I am creating. I am grateful for my amazing team and my village made up of friends and family that have made this growth professional & personally possible.

It’s only just the beginning, and I have never been so excited to start a new journey. Can’t wait to see where it leads us! I will be back in January with a fresh little baby and start to the new year!

XO! Alexis

✖️LET’S NORMALIZE SOCIAL MEDIA BREAKS!

You guys, It has been a minute since I have posted on here. I have had so many people check in on me asking if I’m ok 🥰. That’s the funny thing about social media sometimes & running your business. Breaks aren’t really accepted without explanations. I am not the best at that. When things get busy, I hunker down, especially since I am the owner & running this business on my own.

To be honest I have been in total survival mode. So many blessings over here, so I am not trying to complain, but it’s been intense! Here’s a quick recap of the past two months…

1). Extreme morning sickness with baby girl 🤪(that FINALLY has let up! Thank u Jesus)!
2). Thick into wedding season with trials, weddings and events.
3). Expanding XO Beauty into NorCal means lots of flights back & forth between San Diego & Sacramento.
4). My hubby & I bought our FIRST house, which meant moving my whole family & living in my in-laws house the past few months while we closed on our property.

I know in times of growth it can sometimes seem like you are recoiling or even moving backwards. However in my experience this stage is necessary in order to spring forward. XO Beauty is still here, and we are so excited about all the things that are to come, but in some ways this year it feels like we are planting the new seeds, watering them, and patiently waiting for them to grow.

For all the self run business owners out there, I see you. Thank you for my village, I have truly had to lean on them this year (you know who you are). Thank you for all the people who have reached out, and checked in. XO BEAUTY is alive and well! So grateful to truly do what I love: I know it’s only gonna get better. & better from here! ✖️
