I have known the founder of XO Beauty professionally for over 10 years, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that like a fine wine she just gets better with age! Alexis has all the qualities you want for your hair/makeup/wedding/beauty/make-me-feel-pretty occasions: expertise, vision, professionalism, warmth, style...I could keep going. Just recently, I was part of a bridal party that Alexis and her team were in charge of beautifying for the big event. I have never seen a more beautiful bride, Alexis channeled the bride's inner radiance and made her shine!! As the bride's sister, another team member of XO Beauty did my hair and makeup, and it felt as though it was Alexis herself taking care of me! I hadn't felt that pretty in ages 🙂 Alexis has done a fantastic job of creating and leading a team of talented professionals, and if I'm ever in San Diego again I'll be quick to book them again. After many years of being unhappy with my hairstylist I finally found Alexis! It started with her doing my hair and makeup for my wedding and then transformed into her doing my cut and colors. That was 4 years ago and I can't imagine letting anyone else touch my hair. When I have a special event and need hair and makeup Alexis is always there with a smile. Alexis is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to my hair! I started going to her for my color almost 10 years ago now and she has only gotten better at what she does with time! I have been getting my hair done by Alexis for about 10 years now. She saved my hair!! I went from wispy "long" hair (which was really a tail of long hair) to the thick, luxurious long hair that I have today!! I have been asked several times if I have extensions (which I don't) and get complimented on my hair all the time. Alexis is truly professional, as well as extremely talented. We had two appointments, one for hair and make-up test and then final appointment. She responded quickly to requests, was always on time, set realistic goals and executed beautifully. Everyone at my son's wedding commented on my lovely hair and fantastic makeup. She also did my friend's make up and once again, great comments. I can't wait to have another occasion for Alexis to make me beautiful!

I needed some professional photos done for a website last minute. I like a very natural look, and I had no idea how to replicate that without looking washed out in the photos. Alexis was prompt to respond to my message and was very helpful with the scheduling. The fact that XO was able to travel to my office was so helpful as I was tightly scheduled that day. Having Megan do both my hair and makeup on-site eased my stress dramatically. And, when I saw the result of her work, I felt incredibly confident going into the photo shoot. Both hair & makeup were photo ready and fit my style. I highly recommend XO and Megan!

Alexis is INCREDIBLY talented. I live across the country so I had limited opportunities to conduct a hair & make-up trial but she was so flexible with me and even met over the holidays to ensure I felt comfortable before my big day. In addition to myself, I had 9 bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and grandma that all needed hair/make-up. She brought her team with her, they were on time, and were able to get everyone done in the time frame they said. My bridesmaids were all super happy with their styles and their make up was flawless. I was blown away with my hair and makeup. Alexis colored my hair several days prior and they were a perfect match with the extensions she was able to incorporate. The best part? It RAINED on my wedding day and by the end of the night, my hair still looked amazing (a bit of a beachy boho look ;)) and my makeup was totally in tact. I was so, so happy. To top it all off, Alexis is so fun and has a heart of gold.

Alexis did my bridesmaids hair! I told the girls they could have any variation of up-do or pony they would like. Alexis listened to each individual persons needs and style then crafted their own look. I thought they all looked so beautiful and polished. Thanks Alexis!

I had my hair and makeup done for my engagement photo shoot and Alexis was simply AMAZING!!!! I was extremely happy with how everything turned out - she listened to what I wanted and did exactly that to a T. She made me feel so comfortable and easy to talk to! Alexis did hair & makeup for myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids for my wedding. She did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job, and was very easy and pleasant to work with along the way. I really liked my trial, but had a couple minor changes that I wanted for the day of. She was extremely receptive to my needs, and my hair and makeup looked absolutely perfect for the day of. Alexis and Monique are incredible. They came all the way to Palm Springs to help with my wedding because I wouldn't trust anyone else! They are dedicated, reliable, organized, and EXTREMELY talented. All of my friends and family were so impressed with their hair and make up and I was beyond thrilled! In fact, my sister is getting married in Hawaii and she loved her hair and make up so much that she took a bunch of photos so that they can try and replicate it there - that is how much she loved her look! I had the pleasure of Alexis coming to my home to do my hair and makeup for my engagement photoshoot. First of all- she is the sweetest and SO comfortable to be around/easy to talk to. I had never used a service like this so it's a little weird at first getting used to the idea of letting a stranger you've never met into your home, but she didn't make me feel like that at all! I felt so at ease with welcoming her, as well as her doing my hair and makeup in my living room, and we could truly talk about anything. Honestly, that makes a huge difference because you're spending a good amount of time with them while getting hair and makeup done. She's a beautiful soul and I'd recommend her to ANYONE. Anyways, now to the service provided. I showed her inspiration pics of what kind of look I was going for. She executed my vision flawlessly. My hair and makeup was exactly what I'd pictured if not better and I felt so beautiful the whole evening as I took my engagement photos. These moments are so precious and every woman deserves to feel their best, and Alexis (& team) will most definitely help you achieve that.
